Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will perform stone laying ceremony of Sialkot-Lahore Motorway on Monday (August 22) said Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday.
Talking to Business Recorder at Pakistan Muslim League House he said that this mega project would not only ensure fast inter-city travelling facility but also minimise the travelling distance between Sialkot-Lahore and while the project will also bring economic boom as well as generate employment opportunities in the region.
Asif further stated that the proposed Sialkot-Lahore will bring change in rural life style and much supportive in banishing poverty from remote rural areas of Sialkot and its adjoining areas.
The Minster further stated that government was making adequate efforts for improving the means of communication across the country with the concept for linking backwards areas with developed parts of the country. The PML-N led government was committed to bring revolutionary change in every sphere of life with the concept to convert the country developed and prosper state of the glob he said.
Asif said that government was mobilising all available resources for economic stability through its concrete policies adding that strengthening of the national economy top on government agenda.
The economic stability had become more vital at this juncture for making the country stable for bringing prosperity and to boost development process in the country he said.
The Defence Minister further stated that the mega China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will play an instrumental role in bringing revolutionary change and usher economic stability and prosperity not only in the country but also in the whole region.

On arrival Prime Minister will be accorded worm welcome by the PML-N workers and general public. Huge banners and flexes had been displayed at prominent places in Sialkot and Sambrial by the business community of Sialkot and general public.
