Security agencies gunned down a commander and two members of a banned group involved in an attack on the convoy of President Mamnoon Hussain's son and killing of labourers in Balochistan's Hub tehsil on Monday. A spokesman of Frontier Corps (FC) said that the security personnel were carrying out an operation in Hub when the gunmen affiliated with Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) opened fire on them.
"An exchange of fire took place in which BLA Commander Raziq Marri and his two accomplices were shot dead," FC spokesperson. The slain terrorists were involved in an attack on the convoy of President Mamnoon Hussain's son Salman Mamnoon in 2015, which left three people dead. The terrorists are also said to be behind the killings of nine labourers this year. The security agencies recovered weapons from the terrorists and further investigation has been underway, spokesman added.
