PWP team arrests 21 illegal hunters in Gujranwala

The Punjab Wildlife & Parks' special team arrested 21 illegal hunters in Gujranwala Division and recovered over Rs 122,000 as departmental fine while challan against two other persons were sent to the court. The Department sources said these people were illegally hunting 'para' deer, parrots, partridges, laali and other water fouls in different areas.
Meanwhile, Secretary Forests, Wildlife and Fisheries Captain Jehanzeb Khan (Retd.) on the recommendation of the Wildlife & Parks Department transferred Assistant Director Wildlife Mazhar Imtiaz to Wildlife Research Centre Gattwala Faisalabad, posted Muhammad Akram as Assistant Director Planning in Head Office Lahore, Khurshid Ahmad Qaiserani as Curator Bahawalpur Zoo and Muhammad Akhtar was promoted and appointed as Assistant Director (Census) Punjab Wildlife Research Centre Faisalabad.
