The 195th meeting of the Syndicate of University of Sindh was held. Professor Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, Vice-Chancellor, University of Sindh presided over the meeting. The meeting approved the recommendations made by the Selection Board of the University. The meeting also approved revised budget 2016-2017, increase in the salary of teaching assistants, and raise in the salary of regular employees.
It also accorded consent for enhancement in pension and increase in the pay of contractual employees commensurate with Federal Government of Pakistan notification, up-gradation of posts of clerks and assistants. The meeting also afforded its agreement to the recommendations of promotion committee for Dr N.A. Baloch and Syed Pannah Ali Shah Model Schools of the varsity. The meeting also registered positive nod for implementation of the Tenure Track System (TTS) in case of appointment of the opting university faculty.
Those who attended the meeting included Justice Syed Deedar Hussain Shah, Kalsoom Akhtar Chandio, Member, Sindh Assembly, Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah, Advocate Jhamat Mal Jethanand, Professor Ahmed Ali Shaikh, Mufti Abdul Rehman Thattvi, Dr Ruquiya Aziz Talpur, nominee of Secretary Education Sindh Aziz Fatimaa and others.
