"To foster a more whole-brained scholastic experience, teachers should use instructional techniques that connect with both sides of the brain", said Doctor Moiz Hussain Director The Institute of Mind Sciences Karachi while addressing the Love Learning Conference organized by 3P Learning here on Saturday.
He also said that we can increase classroom's right-brain learning activities by incorporating more patterning, metaphors, analogies and analytical activities, this session will help teachers understand that synchronizing both halves of the brain fasten the students learning. He was of the view that 3P learning inspired teachers and educators to think differently and creatively.
Chief Executive Officer Chand Bagh Foundation Shama Aleem while sharing her experience said that the status and position of teachers was completely changed and it was not that it was half a century back. Shama said that teachers are fully aware of the contemporary needs. She also said that they were fully aware of the tools and resources and their usage. She stressed that as a community we should create an environment which supports self -learning and mutual support.
The veteran educator Professor Cusrow J. Dubash said that teachers in the profession today are products of the 20th century while the taught are products of 21st century. We will look at "who" really needs the teacher's help and how the teacher can identify "That" student. He also said that looking at Pakistan's position in the global economy and how that influences change processes in classroom practices will be highlighted.
Assistant professor Adil Arshad Beacon house National University and Forman Christian College spoke about students who lack self-interest and constantly depends on teacher for solutions while they achieve all milestones independently in video games. Educators from different cities like Islamabad, Karachi, Okara, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, and Chiniot also participated in this conference.
