Renowned social and business personality of the city Mian Zahid Hussain has been nominated as Divisional Patron-in-Chief of World Columnist Club (WCC). According to the details, Chairman of WCC Hafiz Shafir-ur-Rehman summoned meeting of the core committee after consultation with the President of the body Nasir Iqbal Khan.
During the meeting Dr Murtaza Mughal proposed the name of Mian Zahid Hussain for the slot of Patron-in-Chief of the Karachi chapter of WCC. Mian Zahid Hussain has also served as provincial minister for IT and now he is serving as President of Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum, President AKIA, and Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Murtaza Mughal said that WCC will be more vibrant and effective after inclusion of Mian Zahid and hoped that he will try his best to promote the cause with full dedication.
Office-bearers of WCC - Muhammad Nasir Awan, Khawaja Jamshed Awan and Abdul Sattar Awan, Farooq Haris Abbasi, Zulfiquar Akhem Rahat, Muhammad Farooq Chohan, Hafiz Yousaf Siraj, Riaz Ahmed Ehsan, Zabihullah Balkan, Saad Akhtar Qureshi, Mansha Qazi, Ijaz Hafeez Khan and Dr Sajjad Awan were also present on the occasion.
