Sindh Minister for Transport Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the operation of inter-city busses would soon be started as the provincial government has invited proposals from concerned quarters for launching of effective public transport system. This he said while talking to media after attending a seminar on 'CNG safety campaign in public transport and school vehicles' here at a local hotel on Thursday.
The minister said that after Hyderabad, the public transport system would also be introduced in other cities of the province including Sukkur, Larkana and Benazirabad (Nawabshah) with objective to provide effective inter-city bus service to the people. Responding to a question, the minister informed that the Secretary Transport Route Permit has been directed to review the possibility of establishment of a bus terminal in Hyderabad and also submit report about Badin bus terminal after holding inspection of the site. Meanwhile, addressing the participants of the seminar, the minister dispelled the impression that Sindh government is creating hurdles in launching Mass Transit Project.
