A Jalsa of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace be upon him) presided over by Dr Navaid ul Zafar, Managing Director, Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) and comprised speeches, na'at and salam, was held yesterday under the auspices of Hamdard Unity Workers Union at a hall, Nazimabad, Karachi. Dr Navaid ul Zafar in his presidential address said that the execution of rights of Allah's servants was equally important and essential as rights of Allah.
'If we say prayer daily, but don't give full reserved time to our work place and do not work according to our full capacity, which comes under the category of rights of Allah's servants, what shall we give 'reply to Allah and how can we expect the recommendation from the Holy Prophet on doomsday, he said adding: 'If we hurt to someone and our institution we shall be answerable to our Creator on doomsday' he added.
'The whole Muslim world, including our country, is facing great troubles and misfortune and this is the result of those things our hands have wrought,' he asserted. He said, to earn livelihood with hard work and honesty and live life with contentment was also worship. If one has huge wealth but one's wife and children were not obedient and faithful then all would go in vain. We have been holding these sacred mahafils for many years, but failed to receive its good effects, because of our slackness in taking good lessons out of these auspicious mahafils, he added.
'Still we have time to correct us and if we start to follow the example set by the Holy Prophet we would be able to make our world and afterworld successful.' he concluded. Zaheer Ahmed Khan, General Secretary, Hamdard Unity Workers Union said that these sacred mahafils demanded us to change our lives according to teachings of Islam. We should be lovers of Holy Prophet, be a regular namazi, because it stopped the man from doing wrong and tell a lie and above all we must work with integrity, hard labor and keen interest which would make our institution more developed and successful and in its success the secret of our success and prosperity is hidden he maintained. Shaukat Owaisi compered the function. Besides Mrs Sadia Rashid, Chairperson, Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf), distinguished guests, directors, managers and workers of Hamdard attended the function.-PR
