Four inmates were injured as activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pak Sar Zameen Party (PSP) on Saturday reportedly clashed in central jail after indulge in heated arguments. Sources said exchanged of heated conversation between party workers in prison cell led to the violence that resulted in injuring of four inmates. However, jail authorities denied the clash between political parties, saying people involved in clash were not political workers.
"There was no clash on political ground. Two inmates fought on pity issue which was well handled by security guards," Jail official said. Sources said that Rangers were called in to control the situation. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
