KARACHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned the suo moto hearing of the deaths of 122 patients at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), either from sub-standard drugs or wrong prescription of blood thinning and lipid lowering medicines.
On Monday, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry directed to produce a report on the drugs related deaths on February 6.
Earlier, the apex court issued notices to Attorney General, Advocate General Punjab, Federal Secretary Health as well as Secretary Health Punjab, PPO Punjab and DG FIA to appear and file their replies.
