The Sindh government has formulated a code of conduct for collection of animal hides on Eid-ul-Azha. Before going out to collect hides organisations will need permission from the Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner. No one will be allowed to hold camps, make announcements or put up banners for collection of hides, according to details.
To transfer hides from one place to the other a permission letter is compulsory. Carrying any sort of weapons including licensed guns or sticks is banned on Eid.
An open violation of the code of conduct can be seen in the city where organisations have flooded the streets with posters asking people to donate them hides.
