Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell Thursday, following declines in corn amid a lack of supportive news, traders said. CBOT December wheat settled down 3-1/2 cents at $3.99-1/2 per bushel. The contract has been trading in a range between $3.90 and $4.10 for about two weeks. K.C. December hard red winter wheat futures and MGEX December spring wheat also closed lower. The US Department of Agriculture reported export sales of US wheat in the week to September 8 at 402,200 tonnes for 2016/17, in line with trade expectations for 350,000 to 550,000 tonnes.
