At least eight suspected terrorists were arrested by Frontier Corps and Police in combing operations in Quetta and Khuzdar on Saturday. According to reports, five terrorists were arrested in Quetta in the combing operation to cleanse the provincial capital which had seen frequent incidents of terrorism. Three suspected militants were arrested by Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies in a joint operation here on Saturday.
Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman said that the action was conducted on a tipoff received about the presence of militants in which three suspects belonging to a banned outfit were apprehended. The spokesman revealed that the alleged militants were involved in heinous crimes and other acts of terrorism. The detainees were shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation while the security personnel have also launched search operation in the region.
