The Lahore High Court on Tuesday sought reply from the Punjab government on October 27 in a petition seeking security for school-going children. The court also directed the government to submit report about appointment of security guards at busses, vans and rickshaws used for transportation of school-going children, and as well as steps taken to stop illegal transplantation of children's organs. The court was hearing the matter of alleged abduction of children from various cities of Punjab. The court also constituted a committee and tasked it to come up with suggestions as to how the security of the children could be made possible.
