The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday announced the name of Ghulam Murtaza Baloch as the candidate returned to the Provincial Assembly from the constituency PS-127 Malir, Karachi- XXXIX, said a notification issued here. Pakistan Peoples Party Candidate Ghulam Murtaz Baloch had won by elections by securing 21,187 votes, defeating Waseem Ahmed of Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM), who managed only 15,553 votes.
Nadeem Memon of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf claimed third by obtaining 5,880 votes. The seat of Sindh Assembly's constituency PS-127 had fallen vacant after resignation of MQM's Member of the Sindh Assembly Ashfaque Mangi.
