Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab Brigadier Muzaffar Ali Ranjah (Retd) has said that the Anti Corruption Establishment was being made a dynamic and vibrant organisation possessing capacity to ensure corruption free public sector for maintaining good governance and transparency under the vision of the CM Punjab. He was talking to the media men during his visit here on Thursday at Regional Anti Corruption Office Faisalabad. Director Anti Corruption Dr Arshaad Ahmad also present on the occasion.
Highlighting his mission for the improvement of Anti Corruption Punjab organisation sector, he said that a number of reforms had been taken to make the Anti Corruption Establishment stronger according to the expectations to the public. He said that as per special task assigned by the CM Punjab, departmental priorities had been set for safeguarding the national exchequer, checking the departmental irregularities, ensuring the transparency in public welfare projects and accountability of corrupt govt servants. He said that top 20 cases had been selected in the Punjab and billion of rupees plundering from national exchequer would be retrieved from the culprits. He informed that Quick Disposal Desks had been set up in all Regional Anti Corruption Offices for providing relief to the complainants speedily.
He further said that the employees of Anti Corruption Establishment would not be spared if they found involved in any kind of corruption or irregularities. He maintained that the own buildings of Regional Anti Corruption Establishment would be constructed in which residential accommodation for the officers and Anti Corruption Police Stations would be established.
He informed that the new vehicles for the Regional Offices were also being purchased with the funds of Rs 281.326 million. The Director General informed that the staff of Anti Corruption would also be imparted with quality training especially eliminating the white colour crimes.
Later, the DG Anti Corruption also held meeting with the officers and staff of the Anti Corruption Establishment Regional Office Faisalabad and emphasized upon them for performing their duties with full honesty and passion. He warned that any favoritism would not be tolerated in the inquiries and stressed upon them to complete inquiries without any pressure. He said that the staff should work hard for achieving the targets and mission under the vision of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Director Anti Corruption Dr Arshaad Ahmad assured that no stone would be kept unturned for raising the confidence and honour of the Anti Corruption Establishment. He said that the Regional Office would come up the expectations of Director General Anti Corruption's mission for ensuring the corruption free public sector.
