Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif went to the residence of Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan Abdullah Bin Marzouk Al-Zahrani in diplomatic enclave Islamabad. He congratulated Saudi Ambassador, government, people and diplomatic staff on national day of Saudi Arabia and expressed good wishes.
The Chief Minister also presented a bouquet to Saudi Ambassador. Talking to Saudi Ambassador, Shahbaz Sharif said that people of Pakistan are proud of their ties with Saudi Arabia. He said that Pak-Saudi cooperation in trade, investment, industry and defence sectors is further cementing brotherly relations. He said that Pakistani people consider construction and development of Saudi Arabia as their welfare while Saudi people consider incidents and situation of Pakistan as their affairs and problems. He said that Saudi Arabia has always extended cooperation and help to Pakistan in every hour of distress. He said that mutual relations of the countries are based on economic, political, social needs but the relations of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are based on brotherhood and affection. He thanked Saudi government and people for cooperation in public welfare programmes in Pakistan.
Saudi Ambassador while talking on the occasion said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have strong relations and added that he considers Pakistan as his second home.
