The Sindh Rangers claimed to have killed two allegedly gang war criminals in a targeted raid here on Thursday. A Paramilitary spokesman said: "The troops carried out the intelligence driven action on suspected hideouts of gang war-Yousaf Pahtan faction of Ustad Taju group in Singo Lane area, in the jurisdictions of Chakiwara police station.
Terrorists resorted to firing and tried to escape from the scene. Heavy exchange of firing took place. However, the troops killed two accused while their two accomplices managed to flee from the scene. Automatic weapons and ammunition were recovered from the possession of deceased criminals during the course of action. Later, the area police was called. The dead accused along with recovered weapons were handed over to police.
