Auditor General of Pakistan, Rana Assad Amin, has introduced a Whistle Blowing Policy in his Department. For this purpose, a toll free phone No 0800-22999 has been installed in the Vigilance Section of (IRV&MT) Wing.
Those, who want to lodge any complaint against official conduct of any functionary of the Department or point out any wrongdoing in any office of the department, may call Syed Asad Ali Shah, AAO, Vigilance Section on the toll free No 0800-22999 without any charges. In this regard, the following procedure will be observed strictly:
i. The person lodging the complaint will have to identify himself and provide his name, designation, address and CNIC number for further reference.
ii. Under the rules issued by the Government of Pakistan, the complainant may be asked to give an affidavit on stamp paper to the effect that the allegations levelled by him/her are true and correct.
iii. The complainant may also be asked to give an undertaking that in case he/she fails to prove the allegations, the Department or the person against whom the complaint is lodged may initiate legal action against him/her.
iv. The Personal information of the complaint will be kept confidential.
v. The complaints should not be against the personal and family affairs of a functionary unless it has a direct bearing on his official conduct.
vi. The complaints should not be on trivial matters.
vii. The complainant will have to provide documentary evidence in support of his allegations.
viii. If the contents of complaint are found correct and supported by documentary evidence, AGP may order inquiry/disciplinary action against the functionary under the relevant rules.-PR
