General Petr Pavel, Chairman Military Committee (CMC), Nato, who is on official visit to Pakistan, called on General Rashad Mahmood, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest with emphasis on geo-strategic situation and security challenges came under discussion. The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism.
Earlier, upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, the visiting General was presented Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of tri-services.-PR
