The Met Office on Tuesday forecast mainly hot and dry weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. It however said that there were chances of rain with dust-thunderstorm at scattered places in Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Thatta divisions, while at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar and Bahawalpur divisions, Upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan over the period.
"Weak seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. A shallow trough of westerly wave is affecting northern parts and its adjoining areas. Eastern currents are penetrating in South-eastern parts of the country," the met said. Weather in the next 48 hours: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, dust-thunderstorm/rain is expected at scattered places in Mirpurkhas, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Mithi received maximum 62 mm of rain followed by Islamkot 24 mm and Chachro 21 mm. Sibbi and Turbat were the hottest places in the country with 42 degrees Celsius followed by Shaheed Benazirabad 41, Sukkur, Dadu, Rohri, Padidan and Noorpur Thal 40, each.
