That India is still demonstrating growing belligerence is a fact that has found its best expression from New Delhi's decision to completely seal its borders with Pakistan by December 2018. Announcing the decision through a statement Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh added that comprehensive monitoring would also take place along the border. This seems to be another Modi ploy to deflect global attention from the highly alarming situation that has been obtaining in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir for nearly four months. How could a planned 2,300-kilometre wall quell massive political unrest in held Kashmir?
No doubt, India has suffered two attacks along its border this year, the first in Pathankot and the second more recently at the Uri military base which killed 18 Indian soldiers. But the question is: what has Pakistan to do with these attacks? India's litany of falsehood must come to an end without any further loss of time. India may find an answer to these attacks in its brutalities against the Kashmiris who have been raising their voice for their inalienable right to self-determination.
