Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Sunday announced that mobile phone services would be suspended on Muharram 9, 10. According to Home Secretary Siraj Ahmed, the services will remain suspended in 12 districts of the province. The home secretary said that cellular services will be suspended in Kohat, Hangu, Peshawar, and D I Khan, Mansehra, Haripur, Mardan, and Nowshera, Lucky Marwat, Bannu, Tank and Abbotabad.
The home secretary said that the decision has been taken due to security concerns.
