Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Monday said that it would not contest by-election on PS-11 Shikarpur. Information Secretary PTI Sindh Dua Zubair said that PTI would not contest the by-election and decided not to support any candidate. According to party announcement, the disciplinary committee has also issued show cause notice to Azam Brohi, who is contesting the by-election against the party's decision.
"The disciplinary committee Sindh understands that the party has decided to withdraw from by-election of PS11 and approached you (Azam Brohi) to step down as its candidate," the show cause notice said. Azam has been asked to respond the show cause in five days with copy of withdrawal letter and reason for not following party decisions, failure to which the committee may exercise its powers to expel him from the party.
