Punjab governor Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has said the government was taking steps for ensuring provision of quality medical facilities to people. He said this while talking to President Royal Australian College of Surgeons Professor Michel J Hollands who accompanied by Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, senior vice-president College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and Professor Mahmood Ayyaz Director National Residency Program, met him here at Governor's House.
Rajwana said that Punjab government provides billions of rupees for the provision of free medicines to the patients. He added that Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with all kinds of resources, we have talented persons, best doctors and health experts and there is no shortage of resources but only lack of commitment.
"There is a room for betterment in every system and we should try to move to the best."
Dr Michel J Hollands praised the teaching and training system of CPSP and declared it the best medical institution of South Asia. He also commended the CPSP's transparent examination system. Dr Hollands participated as a senior facilitator of ongoing ATLS course and also participated as an external examiner in the examination of Surgery of CPSP.
