Kangana hits out at B-Town fraternity, says she’ll demolish each of them

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is making headlines yet again after accusing ‘Queen’ director Vikas Bahl for harassing her, has lashed out at entire B-Town fraternity after Sonam Kapoor's statement on the controversy.

The actress wasn’t too happy with the reaction she has been getting for sharing her #MeToo story and Sonam's statement seemed to have upset Kangana to the extent that she hit out at the entire Bollywood industry.

Kangana's reaction came after Sonam said it is hard for her to believe the actress. “Kangana is obviously Kangana Ranaut. She says a lot of stuff and sometimes is hard to take her seriously. I love the fact that she has spunk and she says what she believes. I really have respect for that. I don’t know him, I don’t know the situation. If what is written is true, then it’s disgusting and awful. If it’s true, then they should be punished for it,” Sonam had said while speaking at ‘Vogue We the Women’ summit.

Furious with Sonam’s statement, Kangana said in an interview to Pinkvilla, “What does she mean by saying, ‘it’s hard to believe Kangana’? When I am sharing my Me Too story, who gives her a right to judge me?".

“So, Sonam has the license of trusting some women and some she won’t. What makes her so unsure of my claims? I am known to be an articulate person and I have represented my country in many international summits. I am called as a thought and youth influencer to these summits, I am not known because of my dad. I have earned my place and credibility after struggling for a decade,” she added.

Kangana continued, “She [Sonam] isn’t known to be a great actress, neither she has the reputation of being a good speaker. What gives these filmy people right to take digs at me? I will demolish each one of them.”

The controversy had all started after Kangana accused ‘Queen’ director of sexual harassment. Kangana shared her experience with Bahl at the film's sets of her movie 'Queen'.

“He partied every night and shamed me for sleeping early and not being cool enough. I often told him off. He was scared of me but still every time we met socially, we greeted and hugged each other. He would bury his face in my neck and hold me really tight and breathe in the smell of my hair. It took me a great amount of strength and effort to pull myself out of his embrace, he would say - I love how you smell K. I could tell something is wrong with him,” she alleged.

The #MeToo campaign in India, which started with actor-model Tanushree Dutta’s sexual harassment allegations against Nana Patekar, is now in full force. Many actresses and female staff of Bollywood film fraternity have been coming up with their side of stories.
