The Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (IBA-CEIF) has announced a course 'Advanced Certificate in AAOIFI Shariah Standards'. The IBA-CEIF in collaboration with Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Limited (DIBPL) has planned a six-month certificate course "Practitioners' Qualification Series programme" for in-depth study of AAOIFI Shariah Standards. The course titled "Advanced Certificate in AAOIFI Shariah Standards" will be conducted from October 29 onwards.
This unique course is designed to provide extensive knowledge to Industry Human Resource regarding essential Shariah Standards/Principles in different Islamic modes and financing facilities with their practical applicability, issues faced in practical execution and continuous monitoring of every individual transaction. The course will be facilitated by Shariah Advisors representing AAOIFI's Shariah Standards Committee in Karachi, Pakistan and other renowned Shariah Experts.
This is an advanced level course which requires basic knowledge of Islamic Banking and Finance. Participants should have at least two years of experience in Islamic Finance Industry or a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Islamic Banking & Finance from a recognised institution or at least completed master's degree in business/economics (preferred) or individuals graduated with qualification in Islamic Jurisprudence with one-year experience with any Islamic Financial institution. According to CEIF if a candidate do not fulfil the criteria, but strongly feel that he/she can attend this course, can apply for the course.
