Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has announced Darband of District Manserha as a Tehsil to increase the number of tehsils in district to five. He also announced a college for the area to be included in the next ADP, a primary school and civil dispensary. He made these announcements while addressing a 40-member representative Jirga of elected nazimeen of district Mansehra at CM House here Thursday. Senior Minister Sikandar Khan Sherpao, Regional President PTI Zar Gul MPA Ibrar Hussain Tanoli, District Nazim Mansehra were also present at the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the facilities which a Tehsil should have through an inbuilt mechanism would be ensured in the newly announced Tehsil. He also approved five KM long Chappar road in the area. He said that the gap between the rich and the poor was created by two different system of education and this gap would be abridged by uniform education system. The past of Pakhtunkhwa was because of two different systems of education one for the rich and one for the poor that created the societal erosion. The institution used to take care of the interest of the rich and the poor had to suffer, he added.
He said that the present Pakhtunkhwa was totally different from the past where there were no political interferences in the public sector institutions and these institutions were sensitized for the goals, these institutions were created for. This approach would provide a level playing field and the deserving would get their rights, he added.
Pervez Khattak said in the past there was political interference in the public sector institutions in the province but today that was a history now there was no space for political interference and nobody would play politics on teachers, doctors, Thanas, Patwar and hospitals. He said that the new system of governance was a transparent one where the services would be the scale to judge the level of prosperity and development as practised in the developed nations. His government brought the public sector education and hospitals at par with private sectors.
The difference between the develop nations and our country was the transparency, provision of rights to all, no favouritism and no interference that was unfortunately the case with our country where the opposite to these projects were in vogue and that was the past of the province. The present of the province was a totally different Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where no one was allowed to transgress the rights of others. Chief Minister said in the past there was mediocrity in the public sector institutions because of the deployment of mediocre there but it was the past of province. Now deserving was employed and the institutions were empowered to deliver. He retracted the public sector institutions, improved the system and introduced a new style of governance ensuring transparency.
Pervez Khattak said his government provided 100% missing facilities in public sector primary and middle schools while in high and higher secondary schools his government went beyond the 50%, he added. He reminded that the public resources were plundered in the past but now no one could dare for corrupt practices. In the past the province was ruled by corrupt even they were involved in deforestation that resulted into the changes in the climate and the people and their properties were inundated.
The system was bankrupted by the politicians and the forest was destroyed by timber mafia. His government introduced a Billion Tree Tsunami project for growing trees and expanding the forest growing area. Whistle Blower law was introduced which would discourage deforestation, smuggling of cattle's and other financial irregularities.
His government wanted an end to loot and plunder and it worked for good governance.
Pervez Khattak also threw lights on the Sehat Ka Insaf card which would provide free healthcare over to 1.8 million families up to Rs 0.5 million. He also referred to the right to services under which services would be provided under a timeframe. He said that today Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was better than the past.
