Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that all political forces in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan are unanimous for the cause of Kashmir and his government would make all possible efforts to highlight the issue at international level. Speaking at the All-Parties Kashmir Co-ordination Council here on Thursday he said India fabricated the story of surgical strike in utter despair after voices of concern over human rights violations in occupied territories were raised from different parts of the world.
Haider lauded the role of Pakistani Government, armed forces, media and civil society in highlighting the Kashmir issue. Kashmiri political leadership and others while stressing the need for joint efforts in highlighting Indian forces brutal treatment against the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have requested Pakistan to establish special Kashmir Desk at all the foreign missions.
Former Prime Minister of AJ&K/President All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan expressed serious concern over the plight of the people of held-Kashmir and said that they could not be left at the mercy of Indian forces which have resorted to brutal repression. He said that India's attempt to isolate Pakistan around the world has failed miserably and India itself would be isolated from the world. He also said that India had conducted no surgical strike on Pakistan, and was resorting to blatant lies to hide its weaknesses.
He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was the biggest obstacle in the nefarious design of India, and hence the project is of utmost importance for the progress of the nation. Former Justice Majeed Malik said that Kashmir is not an issue between Pakistan and India; instead it was an issue of 19 million people, who are struggling for their independence since the divide of sub-continent. United Nations (UN) and other international human rights organisations must press the Indian authorities to resolve the issue as per UN resolutions.
He said that Kashmiris are facing worst kind of Indian state terrorism, which has imposed curfew for the past 95 days in the held territories, killed over 100 innocent protesters, injured thousands but failed to defeat the courage and determination of the Kashmirirs.
The conference was also addressed by former Prime Minister of AJ&K Chaudhary Abdul Majeed, former President Major General Sardar Anwar Khan (Retd), Jammat-e-Islami AJ&K president Abdul Rasheed Turabi and others.
