The 11th U-15 and U-17 National Junior Taekwondo Championship will be organized from 25th to 28th October at Pakistan Sports Board Islamabad. The event is sponsored by Korean Embassy, Islamabad. DG Pakistan Sports Board Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera has given assurance for the success of this event by providing Taekwondo gymnasium, accommodation and other allied facilities.
In this event, teams both male and female from provinces, departments and Clubs will participate. This will be the biggest Junior National Event of the Pakistan of any sports event in which more than 450 male / female will attend. In the closing ceremony on 28th October, Korean Ambassador, Korean Consulate, DG PSB and others will participate. The basic aim of the event is to identify the new young talent and further polish them for Olympic Qualification round which will be held in early 2020 at Tokyo, Japan, a spokesman of Taekwondo federation said on Friday.
