KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak Saturday announced a comprehensive development package for district Haripur of the Hazara Division. He was addressing three different public gatherings at Ghazi, Haripur and Havalian during his daylong visit to the district. Advisor to CM on Information Mushtaq Ghani, Divisional President of PTI Zar Gul Khan, Advisor to CM Akbar Ayub, PTI leader Yousaf Ayub and others attended.
The development package included the up-gradation of Khanpur as Tehsil, sanctioning Rs 290 million for mother child hospital in Haripur, Rs 150 million for beautification of Haripur, Rs 1.5 million for Haripur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI) and Rs 3 million for District Bar Association.
The chief minister also announced Rs 100 million for power supply schemes and establishment of University in Haripur, released Rs 2.5 billion for Haripur bypass, up-gradation of Tehsil headquarter hospital, up-gradation of Primary schools and BHUs, construction of road from Havalian to Cantonment.
Similarly, an amount of Rs 50 million was announced for power supply schemes in Havalian, sanitation schemes in Havalian and provision of Rs 10 million for a bridge.
Pervez Khattak said that the provincial government fully supporting the central route of the CPEC, but would never step down from its stance on the western route. He said that the innocent people of Hazara should not be duped into believing through a misguided propaganda against the provincial government.
The agenda of the province was that the western route should have all the facilities given to the central route as per commitment of the Prime Minister. The western route should be started and completed first that the Prime Minister pledged in the all parties conference, he added. He said that the PML-N government in centre was doing injustice to the province on multiple fronts and CPEC was one among them. He regretted that the political leadership in the past promoted corruption and irregularities that was the root cause of all ills. He added that KP government stood by the people and introduced transparent governance. It stopped loot and plundered and eliminated political interference in public sector institutions.
He said that the 30th October lock down would be decisive phase in our political history that would redefine our future.
Pervez Khattak called upon the people to strengthen the hands of Imran Khan for the final and decisive phase for the accountability of corrupt rulers and dislodging them through the public strength.
The Chief Minister said the political leadership could not escape its responsibility for the degradation, all the ills of society and defaming the country. The political leadership promoted hooliganism and looted the national resources. It destroyed the political structure and rendered the public sector institutions in total disarray.
