Apropos 'Brief recordings' published on July 26, 2016 in this newspaper on Pakistan Cables Limited, "It is the only cable manufacturer in Pakistan to have its cables type tested by the world renowned KEMA Laboratory in Netherlands" was based on official documents of the company. Fast Cables Limited, based in Lahore has written to us and contested this claim by Pakistan Cables Limited and has averred that they too have cable types that are tested by KEMA.
Upon our query based on representation by Fast Cables Limited; Pakistan Cables Limited has acknowledged that the said details on its website were outdated and an oversight on its part, and has now made appropriate changes with information that is up-to-date. The error in the Brief Recordings is regretted.
