LCCI Vice President Muhammad Nasir Hameed Khan expressed his concern over the harassing attitude of labour officers and stressed the need for developing SOPs (standard operating procedures) for this purpose. He suggested that a report should be prepared before issuing legal notices, especially pinpointing the non-conformities. This is how check and balance can be maintained by the high-ups, he added. Muhammad Nasir Hameed Khan said that third party labour hiring is causing problems in many organisations. As per law, the organisations have to keep 20 percent of third party labourers.
