Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has received applauses, congratulations and well wishes for organising a historic "Salam Shuhda" rally in the city on last Sunday. President PPP Asif Ali Zardari appreciating the efforts and organization work of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah telephoned him on Tuesday and congratulated him for organising such a mammoth rally in Karachi, said a statement.
He also appreciated him for his efforts to establish good governance in the province and assured him his full support. "I am sure you would be serving people of Sindh who have always voted PPP to powers," he said.
The CM Sindh thanked the party chief for his appreciation and said it is an honour for him that the party President is eulogising his work and also extending full support in better governance and service to the poor people of Sindh, he said and assured him that he would be serving Sindh irrespective of political affiliations of the people. PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira and Chaudhry Manzoor called on Sindh chief minister and had political discussion over a cup of tea here at CM House, the statement added.
Kaira appreciating the efforts of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah for holding a well-organised mammoth rally in Karachi said that it was a spontaneous response of the people of Karachi which showed their confidence in the party. The CM Sindh said that he was with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on her truck when she had returned to Karachi on October 18, 2007. "Believe me I felt same spirit, aroma, enthuziaism and energy in Chairman Bilawal Bhutto as I had witnessed in Shaheed Rani," he said. Former President AJK Sardar Yakoob along with a delegation of PPP Azad Kashmir also met Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at CM House and congratulated him for holding a well-organised and planned rally in Karachi. The CM Sindh also expressed gratitude to Sardar Yakoob for appreciation.
