Sindh Energy Minister warns power suppliers
KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Energy, Imtiaz Shaikh has warned power distribution companies of stringent action, under NEPRA rules, for their failure to address public grievances.
Addressing a farewell ceremony organized for Rashid Hussain Khan, the retiring secretary of the department here Monday, he said government cannot remain indifferent towards complaints of the consumers against power distribution and supplying companies.
The minister said Sindh government under the leadership of CM Murad Ali Shah is also fully committed to meeting energy requirements of the people, including those belonging to remote areas.
Paying glowing tribute to Rashid Hussain Khan, he said honest and competent officers are not only source of relief for the people but also an asset for their respective departments.
Shaikh said government will always stand by its capable officers and employees who owing to their performance also command equal respect among their colleagues as well people in general.
