President Mamnoon Hussain will inaugurate Swat Expo 2016 on November 3, 2016 to display normalisation of Swat which will be attended by a large number of Islamabad-based diplomats. According to an official, the Commerce Ministry has invited all members of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Commerce and Senate Standing Committee on Commerce to witness the Swat Expo. One of the active planners of the Expo, Musarrat Ahmad Zeb who hails from Swat, sources said, had raised eyebrows at the performance of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), saying its performance vis a vis the Expo was not satisfactory.
The sources said Commerce Ministry was closely working with the Army and other concerned agencies to make arrangements. TDAP office in Swat was facing logistic issues which will be resolved immediately so that the Expo could be made a successful event.
