Kot Addu Power Company Limited has posted Rs 2.318 billion as profit after tax in the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 2.107 billion earned in the corresponding quarter in 2015. The board of directors of the company, in its meeting held on Thursday at Islamabad declared that the company's earning per share has inched up to Rs 2.63 in the period under review against Rs 2.39 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results, the company's sales declined to Rs 17.725 billion in this quarter against Rs 21.988 billion in the same quarter last year while the cost of sales reduced to Rs 14.386 billion against Rs 18.927 billion. The company's profit before taxation surged to Rs 3.358 billion in this quarter as compared to Rs 3.014 billion earned in the same quarter last year.
