Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad has been excluded from the list of 10 worst airports of the world after Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) succeeded in providing the required facilities to passengers at the airport. Benazir Bhutto International Airport was among the 10 Worst Airports in the World since 2012 when it was ranked at 3rd. In 2013, it ranked 4th Worst Airport and in 2014, it secured number one position and was categorized as the Worst Airport in the World.
According to the CAA, in a recent report published by the CNN, the Airport has been excluded from the list of 10 Worst Airports in the World. Every year, Sleeping in Airports conducts a survey asking travelers to rate their airport experiences based on the services and facilities available within the terminal, cleanliness, customer service, comfort and their overall airport experience. Those that are included in the category of 10 'Worst Airports' of the world secure the most negative feedback from voters. These airports fall flat in terms of providing any kind of enjoyable overall airport experience. Instead, they're dirty, uncomfortable and unfriendly and lack the most basic of services and amenities.
Being operational 24 x 7, Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad has approximately 13,000 passengers per day both domestic and international regardless of travelling class. Proactive campaigns promoting CAA facilities, new initiatives, safety, security and customer satisfaction ensured improved ranking of the Airport. Courteous behaviour of the functionaries along with comfortable, clean and safe environment provided by the CAA is also counted in the overall travel experience. This is a tribute to the standards maintained by the CAA.
