The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Thursday demanded of the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the last date for filing of income tax returns till December 31, 2016 as a large number of businessmen cannot file their returns because of multiple reasons.
In a statement issued here, the LCCI President Abdul Basit, Senior Vice President Amjad Ali Jawa and Vice President Muhammad Nasir Hameed Khan said that because of elections of trade bodies, holidays and cumbersome online systems of FBR, a large number of businessmen cannot file their returns and it would be almost impossible for them to do this task till October 31.
