The consolidated profit after tax of National Foods Limited has increased to Rs 317.577 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 309.748 million earned in the corresponding period last year. The board of directors of the company, in its meeting held here declared that the company's earning per share surged to Rs 3.07 in the period under review against Rs 2.99 in the same period in previous year.
According to the financial results, the company's net sales increased to Rs 3.709 billion in this quarter as compared to Rs 3.474 billion in the same three month period in 2015 while the cost of sales surged to Rs 2.345 billion against Rs 2.174 billion. The company's profit before taxation stood at Rs 443.754 million in this quarter against Rs 444.675 million in the same quarter in 2015.
