The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved three development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 81283.605 million. The schemes were approved in the 23rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning and Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting. Spokesman of P&D said the approved development schemes included Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Improvement Project (PIPIP) (Revised) at the cost of Rs 80850.355 million, Green Pakistan Programme-Revival of Wildlife Resources in Punjab at the cost of Rs 284.000 million and Mineral Resource Potential of Punjab (MRP): (A) Energy Minerals (B) Metallic Minerals (C) Industrial Minerals (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 149.25 million.
