NAB distributes Rs 75.195 million among 240 affectees, government departments
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi handed over Rs 75.195 million among 240 affectees and Government departments at a ceremony held here on Friday. Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony was the chief guest on the occasion and handed over the cheques among the affectees and concerned government departments.
Addressing the ceremony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony appreciated the efforts of NAB especially NAB Rawalpindi for actively pursuing the corruption cases and making recoveries of the embezzled amounts.
He highlighted his support for a clean society and efforts made by his Ministry to eliminate corruption in executing the responsibility during Hajj for the last three years. He said NAB is making all-out efforts to recover the looted money from the swindlers. He urged the people to invest only in the government approved banking system and investment companies.
Director General NAB Rawalpindi, Zahir Shah reiterated that the NAB will continue to pursue the corrupt element for cleaning the society from the corrupt element under the leadership of Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudary so that Pakistan be made corruption free.
NAB strongly believes in Zero Tolerance Policy against Corruption. NAB's anti-corruption campaign is carried widely for awareness and prevention of corruption besides enforcement across the board. NAB hopes that joint efforts of all stakeholders can collaborate to check corruption and corrupt practices before happening with the help of all stakeholders.
