Hub Power Company (Hubco) has posted Rs 1.903 billion as profit after tax in the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 2.042 billion earned in the corresponding quarter in 2015. The company's earning per share stood at Rs 1.65 in the period under review against Rs 1.76 in the same period last year. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Wednesday recommended an interim cash dividend for the quarter at Rs 1.50 per share ie 15 percent.
According to the financial results, the company's turnover decreased to Rs 22.442 billion in this quarter against Rs 25.662 billion in the same quarter last year while operating cost reduced to Rs 19.525 billion against Rs 22.182 billion.
