At least one person died and 12 others suffered serious injuries when roofs of four houses collapsed in Mochi Gate area near Nisar Haveli on Wednesday. During the search operation, the police also recovered shells of eight hand grenades and explosive materials from the spot. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and directed the police to submit a complete report. The police identified the deceased as Azmat Ali who was rushed to Mayo Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
According to the sources, the explosion occurred in the house of one Haji Ali Imran due to which three other buildings also collapsed.
