Although October 27 is observed every year as the "Black Day" by the Pakistanis and the Kashmiris, the government of Pakistan this year has taken assistance of Short Messaging Service (SMS) to spread awareness about the significance of the day besides expressing solidarity with Kashmiris.
The black day is observed against Indian illegal occupation of Kashmir on October 27, 1947. This year, the Kashmir movement has been galvanized after the martyrdom of the young Kashmir leader Burhan Wani by the Indian security forces in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) on July 8, 2016. The killings of innocent Kashmiris, who have been protesting against the martyrdom of Burhan Wani, are still unabated since July 8, 2016.
Besides that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has intensified war-hysteria against Pakistan by manipulating the false terror attacks at a military base in Uri and Baramulla. Subsequently, India has deployed heavy arms and weapons on the Line of Control (LoC) and increased troops and continued shelling in Pakistani side of Azad Kashmir.
In a latest move, India on 'Black day' has announced to expel a Pakistani high commission staff member over false allegation of his involvement in espionage activities in India.
Following the Indian aggression, the government of Pakistan this year has taken assistance of SMS to spread awareness about the significance of the day to the nation besides expressing solidarity with Kashmiris.
Almost every mobile user of all cellular companies had started receiving the SMS, having the title 'GOP' as sender, with different messages and slogans in favour of Kashmir cause since morning. Some of the messages and slogans are: "The undaunted and relentless Kashmir struggle can never suppressed by force. Kashmir will soon be a part of Pakistan". One of the messages strongly urged the United Nation (UN) to implement its resolutions on Kashmir to mitigate the sufferings of innocent Kashmiris.
