Chief Executive (CE) Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) S. M. Munir on Thursday urged both local and foreign investors to set up industries in Pakistan, saying that country's all economic indicators are now positive. Addressing the 13th CEO Summit theme 'creating the future: Build stronger Pakistan' here at a local hotel Munir said that things were improving swifirstly as present government was doing sincere efforts to steer the country out of terrorism, and energy crises.
Highlighting importance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor he said the multi-billion project would bring development and prosperity in the country. The trade corridor will not only limited to a country or a sector but it will expand its scope to mainstream industries and allied businesses that will be given boost by new road of progress.
He said that the government was taking solid initiatives to build Pakistan in collaboration with local and foreign investors who believe Pakistan as lucrative and high-returned market for them. Minister of State for Privatization Mohammad Zubair speaking on the occasion said "Pakistan's economy was facing uncertain situation in 2013. Government worked day and night in its first three years to revive country's economy and our hard work has put the economy on the path of prosperity. Pakistan Stock exchange is now the best stock exchange of the region and its rise is a proof of the government's successful economic policies."
Sajjad Saleem Hotiana - Former Chief Secretary Sindh, said that CPEC was a revolutionary project under which new power plants would be set up and new employment opportunities will be created. Heavy investment will change the fortunes of Gwadar and Balochistan. New power plants will be established in Sindh which will solve electricity problems of province.
Ijaz Nisar - Founder & President, CEO Club Pakistan said the summit was an ideal opportunity for building relationships with peers and colleagues who can share information, insights and inspiration that can be of vital help for organisations.
