President of SITE Association of Industry (SAI), Asad Nisar Barkhurdaria has expressed his concerns about critical deficiencies and depleted condition of fire-fighting equipment in the industrial areas especially at SITE. Lauding the provision of modern fire-fighting high-tech snorkels and rescue vehicles to KMC by the Japanese government, he expressed his gratitude towards Japanese nation for this valuable gift which is so important to fight fire hazards in the city.
He highlighted the need to further strengthen the fire fighting capacity of all the fire brigades especially in industrial areas where routinely outbreak of fire causes huge losses to the life and property He hoped that now fire department would be in a better position to be able to save precious lives at fire risk across the city.
