In the wake of rising political tension in the federal capital, the provincial government has decided to send additional policemen to Islamabad to avoid any untoward incident. Sources said more than 3,700 policemen will leave for Islamabad (today) to control the likely law and order situation besides ensuring security to the civilians. All the said officials are going without any arms but having safety kits, tear gas, shelling and other things to counter attacks, the sources added.
All the DSPs and SHOs have clear directions to deploy additional force at their concerned police stations in the provincial capital. According to police sources, the high-ups of the police have also direction to remain in their offices and no urgent leave would be admissible during the next few days.
