Balanced psychological relations between individuals and societies is imperative and in this connection the government must encourage psychologists in identifying the causes, effects and solutions to develop good and cordial relations between individuals, families and societies, said Clinical Psychologist Dr Noshabad Amjad from America.
She was delivering a lecture on "Learning Personalities.... Journey to Happy Relations" organised by Miracle Solutions, an organisation of American Psychologists here on Sunday.
In her detailed presentation, she explained the causes of trauma in in-laws, extra marital affairs, parenting and work relations etc with its negative and positive effects.
She said that we must fully understand the relations with each individual and ways to deal with them as per their importance and relationship. Similarly, every person should be fully aware of its own negative personality cult so that he could make conscious efforts to overcome it. She also explained different personality related factors and urged the need of maintaining strategic balance which otherwise could become negative point creating problems for the individuals. She said that Islam also teaches us maintenance of balance without which the social fabric could not be made intact.
Referring to the Pakistani society and culture, Dr Noshaba specifically explained the complications with in-laws and said that these could also be resolved by understanding the plus and negative points of other family members. She also stressed the need for having confidence in other family members as distrust will not only erode the family fabric but also disturb his own peace of mind.
She said that Islam preaches of cleanliness but particularly most of the Pakistanis living abroad are considered dirty. It is in this connection that the foreigners avoid leasing out their properties to the Pakistani families. She said that children of individuals having negative approach also inherit the same ill qualities and start taking negativity which makes their life imbalance and unacceptable for others. She said that in Pakistani society, the general public hate to go to psychologists and those seeking advice from psychologist are considered insane or half mad.
Dr Saima Sandhu also addressed the meeting and enthralled the participants with her productive discussion on critical psychological problems in pure Punjabi language. She also asked participants to fill-up a performa for the valuation of their personality during this seminar and assured them to provide them free advice to improve their personality.
Earlier introducing Dr Saima Sandhu, it was told that she is a renowned psychologist working in New York. She has founded "Miracle Solutions" to deliver lectures on important psychological issues in different countries including Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Turkey and Dubai etc. The seminar was attended by a cross section of people belonging to all walks of life.
