After Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, actor Imran Khan has now lend his voice to #MeToo movement saying that everyone in the industry knew about director Vikas Bahl’s sexual misconduct but never spoke about it.

Actor-turned-director Imran is the latest to lend his voice to the #MeToo movement and although in the past Imran wanted to talk about incidents of sexual harassment in the industry but was asked to remain quiet.

Talking to Indian Express, the ‘Jane Tu Ya Jane Na’ actor revealed how he got to know about the filmmaker's antics from three actresses of the industry. Without naming the three, he went on to say, “Everyone is talking about Vikas. I have heard his stories from three other actresses. Ranging from inappropriate touching to straight up saying that if you were cast in the film, what will I get in return. Again, I am telling you what I know directly through the actresses or from the industry”.

Six celebs accused of harassment as #MeToo gathers force in India

“Everyone in the film industry knew. I was at a social gathering 5-6 months ago, with a lot of people and the conversation came about MeToo movement in Hollywood. At a point, I said what about Bollywood," he further said.

“The Vikas matter was brushed under the carpet, a few weeks after the news first appeared. I saw him smiling, posing for pictures with every celebrity in the industry. At that point, he started making a film with Hrithik [Roshan]. I was like how is it in Hollywood a culprit is shunned but here he was making a proper film. Everyone was socializing with him. So, I brought it up at the party and realised only I was only odd one there,” he added.

The actor also said that he supports the women who have finally found the courage to speak against their abusers. Imran added he was silent for a long time and he feels disgusted about it.

Imran was last seen in Katti Batti opposite Kangana Ranaut in 2015.
